Usually, for new dancers, a drop in class is the place to start.

As the name suggests, you can just drop in and try it.  Each class lasts two hours and is a stand-alone event.
Classes costs £8 with £5 for concessions.

In each class there is an opportunity to drop into your body and dance.

Friday Drop in classes till the end of 2017

  • February 16th and 23rd

  • March 9th
  • May 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th

There are no steps and no wrong moves.  There is nothing to be achieved, and the deepest learning is your own learning. We dance to a wide variety of styles of music from around the world.  (Huge Gratitude to the Amazing musicians who support the dance!!) Mostly the music recorded, although occasionally we are lucky enough to dance to live music.  For large parts of the class, there are no words, as each dancer follows their own inspiration.  There are instructions, which hold the theme of the class.  The instructions are very permissive, allowing each dancer to follow their own thread as well as explore the theme of the class.

The themes of the classes tend to be rooted in the natural world.  We are inspired by the elements, and by the trees, and we follow the cycles of the moon and the seasons.
