Sunday Out of Doors Dance Class
In these strange days of Covid-19, I know that there are lots of thoughts and feelings and opinions about what it is wise to do next. Right now for me, it seems like such a great opportunity to do what I have been longing to do for years: I am taking Movement Medicine out into nature. Out of doors dancing in Scotland as winter approaches may seem like a wild notion. Right now it is calling to my soul and my body!
I am thrilled to have the blessing of The Centre For Stewardship. First of all, there is a large canopy so even if the rain raineth, it is still possible to dance out of doors without getting soaked! Secondly, right beside the large canopy, there is a lovely café so it is possible to get a hot drink before dancing and hot soup after dancing. Thirdly, Falkland is very beautiful, nestled as it is under the Lomond hills with lovely streams and paths and woods to explore. And lastly, the Centre for Stewardship is so loving and respectful of the land and the ancestors; and its ethos is rooted in our responsibility to be good stewards for all our descendants. So we dance in good company!
I want to respect and uphold The Centre for Stewardship’s stance and policies around health and safety of each of us. I will be holding the role of ‘Covid Officer’.
Times: Sundays, 10:30am – 12:30pm
Duration: 2 hours
Location: Falkland Woods, under the canopy at the cafe by the stables

If you are struggling financially but would like to attend this class, please contact me! I can easily give you a discount code.
We dance to a wide variety of styles of music from around the world. I feel such gratitude to the amazing musicians who support the dance!
For large parts of the class, there are no words, as you follow your own inspiration. There are instructions, which hold the theme of the class. The instructions are very permissive, allowing you to follow your own thread as well as explore the theme of the class to whatever extent it resonates for you. The themes of the classes tend to be rooted in the natural world. We are inspired by the elements, by the trees, and we follow the cycles of the moon and the seasons.
